Software Engineer-Support

Key Responsibilities:

• Debug, diagnose, and resolve software issues across the stack – from backend services to database and message queues.
• Collaborate with engineering, QA, and DevOps teams to identify root causes and implement long-term solutions.
• Analyze logs, monitor system health, and provide rapid incident response when needed.
• Write tools and scripts to automate support tasks and improve system visibility.
• Provide detailed reports on recurring issues and contribute to postmortem processes.
• Actively contribute to improving system observability, reliability, and support documentation.

• Backend: Python, FastAPI
• Databases: PostgreSQL, Quadrant Vector DB
• Messaging & Streaming: Kafka
• Frontend: Svelte
• DevOps & Monitoring: Docker

Requirements:

• 3+ years of professional software engineering experience, ideally in a support, SRE, or dev-focused ops role.
• Strong debugging skills and ability to quickly understand and navigate complex systems.
• Proficiency in Python, with hands-on experience in web frameworks (FastAPI is a plus).
• Solid understanding of relational databases (PostgreSQL) and basic proficiency in writing queries and analyzing performance.
• Familiarity with distributed systems and message brokers like Kafka.
• Comfortable working in full-stack environments, with exposure to frontend frameworks (Svelte is a plus).
• Clear communication skills and a collaborative mindset.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with vector databases or semantic search systems (e.g., Quadrant Vector DB).
• Prior involvement in on-call rotations or high-availability systems.
• Contributions to observability, monitoring, or incident response tooling.
