Job Summary:

As a Buying Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in developing and maintaining vendor relationships, improving product selection, and optimizing operations. Key Responsibilities:

  • Onboard new vendors and support existing vendors to optimize their operations.
  • Assist vendors in navigating and utilizing Amazon tools effectively.
  • Manage key inputs such as selection creation, purchase order management, and shipment tracking.
  • Provide hands-on support to vendors in catalog content, selection expansion, and problem-solving.
  • Initiate and own process improvement projects to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Actively participate in stakeholder calls and meetings to align on goals and progress.


Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical or analytical field.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a data-driven business or retail category.
  • Strong enthusiasm for technology and business.
  • Exceptional communication skills with assertiveness and self-critical abilities.
  • Results-driven mindset with a hands-on approach to tasks.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills, with proficiency in Excel and databases; SQL knowledge is a plus.
  • Demonstrated creativity, initiative, and teamwork.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced analytical and quantitative skills, with a comfort level in handling complex financial data.
  • Polished communication skills, including speaking, writing, and negotiating.
  • Ability to adapt to ambiguous, fast-paced environments and manage multiple priorities.
  • Experience in vendor negotiations, pricing, promotions, inventory management, and product development.
  • Familiarity with catalog and procurement processes such as placing POs and managing lead times.
