Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Ansible Automation Engineer to design, implement, and maintain automation solutions that enhance efficiency and streamline operations. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience with Ansible, scripting (Python, PowerShell, YAML, AngularJS), and infrastructure automation across both on-premises and cloud environments including Red Hat OpenShift (OCP), AWS, and Azure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze business requirements and design automation solutions using Ansible and other technologies.
  • Develop and maintain a strategic roadmap for centralized Ansible automation management.
  • Perform OCP application onboarding tasks such as namespace creation, quota assignment, and RBAC role configuration.
  • Build interactive digital forms using AngularJS to collect user requirements based on specifications.
  • Handle and manipulate JSON data for configuration and integration tasks.
  • Develop and test Ansible playbooks and roles for application onboarding and infrastructure automation.
  • Implement DevOps pipelines for building, testing, and releasing Ansible playbooks.
  • Maintain and update centralized inventory of managed hosts, services, and configurations.
  • Ensure secure and compliant automation practices, including secrets and credential management.
  • Write and maintain robust scripts in Python and PowerShell to support automation needs.
  • Integrate and manage APIs for seamless communication between systems and services.
  • Support and manage infrastructure automation across Linux, Windows, Core OS, RHEL, and cloud platforms.
  • Use source control and CI/CD tools (GitLab, Bitbucket, Jenkins) to collaborate and maintain code quality.
  • Utilize tools like Terraform and CloudFormation for efficient cloud infrastructure provisioning.
  • Integrate Ansible automation with ITSM platforms to enhance service delivery and incident response processes.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 3–5 years of proven experience in a similar Ansible Automation or DevOps role.
  • Strong proficiency in:
  • Ansible and Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform
  • Python, PowerShell, YAML, and AngularJS (Java and Groovy a plus)
  • API integration and JSON handling
  • Linux, Windows, Core OS, and RHEL systems
  • Red Hat OpenShift (OCP) and basic exposure to AWS and Azure
  • Experience with:
  • GitLab, Bitbucket, Jenkins, and JIRA
  • Docker and Kubernetes (for containerization and orchestration)
  • ITSM tool integrations (ServiceNow, etc.)
  • Networking concepts (VLANs, firewalls, ports)
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in Java or Groovy scripting
  • Exposure to cloud automation using Terraform or CloudFormation
  • Prior experience working in Agile or DevOps environments
