We’re seeking a Senior Project Manager to join a prestigious Australian university at the forefront of innovation, working across cutting-edge AI initiatives – with a key focus on rolling out Microsoft Copilot as part of a strategic proof-of-concept. This is a high-impact opportunity to shape how AI integrates into university operations, boosting productivity and transforming ways of working.

THE ROLE:

With a key focus on rolling out Microsoft Copilot as part of a strategic proof-of-concept. This is a high-impact opportunity to shape how AI integrates into university operations, boosting productivity and transforming ways of working.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the rollout of Microsoft Copilot across key areas of the university, driving discovery, planning, implementation, and business change.
• Oversee project governance across a suite of AI initiatives, each leveraging a range of emerging technologies.
• Provide strategic guidance on the shaping, prioritisation, and alignment of AI use cases with university objectives.
• Manage delivery of initiatives from idea to implementation, ensuring change is embedded and sustained.
• Own resource planning, financial forecasting, and status reporting across all AI-related projects.
• Partner with business and technology stakeholders to define scope, articulate clear business outcomes, and develop delivery roadmaps.
• Drive informed decision-making through structured reporting, stakeholder engagement, and visibility of key metrics and milestones.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

• Proven experience as a Senior Project Manager delivering enterprise-scale SaaS-based solutions.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Copilot and understanding of its potential in productivity and AI integration.
• Strong capability in resource planning, budget ownership, and cross-functional delivery management.
• Familiar with AI technology use cases, governance frameworks, and iterative delivery approaches.
• Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams, manage senior stakeholders, and deliver value in a dynamic environment.
• Experience in or exposure to the higher education sector is highly desirable.
• Deep knowledge of AI platforms and their application within enterprise environments.
• A passion for emerging technology and its intersection with human-centered design and productivity.
• Familiarity with university operations, teaching & learning technologies, or research systems.
