Cisco Network Engineer

Project Overview:

We are seeking Cisco Certified Professionals to support a long-term, on-site project. The role involves providing Smart Hands and Eyes support for the installation, configuration, and maintenance of Cisco network devices. This position is ideal for highly motivated individuals with strong networking skills and hands-on experience in Cisco technologies.

• Provide Smart Hands and Eyes support at client locations for network equipment (primarily Cisco devices).
• Assist the remote network team with physical installation, racking, stacking, and patching of network hardware.
• Perform basic diagnostics, cable tracing, port labeling, and visual inspections as guided by remote teams.
• Handle device configuration uploads, console access, and device reboots under the supervision of the remote engineers.
• Ensure all installed hardware is correctly documented and tagged.
• Replace or upgrade hardware components as instructed.
• Maintain clear communication with the remote NOC/Network Engineering team.
• Troubleshoot and escalate issues as needed according to procedures.
• Adhere to site-specific security and compliance protocols.

• Mandatory: Cisco certification (minimum CCNA, higher certifications like CCNP are preferred).
• Proven hands-on experience with Cisco routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless equipment.
• Familiarity with basic networking tools and command-line interfaces.
• Strong understanding of cabling standards and network topologies.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to work independently at client sites and coordinate with remote teams.
• Willingness to travel locally or regionally as required.

• Knowledge of ITIL service practices.
