Algorithm Manager

We're looking for an Algorithm Manager for our business partner in the software industry.

About the Role:

This role, reporting to the Algorithm Director, supports and drives analytical outcomes for internal stakeholders and external clients. The main focus is to oversee the technical scoping, building, and delivery of all analytics projects

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering from a reputable university
• A higher education degree in management, engineering, mathematics, physics, or a related field is a plus
• 7+ years of experience managing data analytics or data science projects, or projects in the supply chain/retail sector, in an analytical environment
• Experience in managing and coaching the performance and development of a team.
• Experience in coding and analytics using SQL and at least one analytics-focused language (R or Python)
• Proficiency in English

Main Responsibilities:

• Delivering high-quality technical solutions with high commercial value to strengthen and reinforce relationships with both external and internal clients
• Supporting the implementation of the quality assurance framework, delivery framework, performance metrics, and customer surveys (both internal and external) in close collaboration with the Algorithm Director
• Overseeing the timely and on-budget delivery of analytical projects, from briefing and scoping to methodology development and execution, ensuring compliance with quality and privacy standards
• Assisting in the creation of a high-performance analytics team and supporting the recruitment of new talent
• Enhancing commercial capabilities by overseeing the delivery of projects focused on measurable commercial value for clients
• Improving the technical capacity of the analytics team by providing clear communication, explaining quality standards, offering training, coaching, and on-the-job guidance to team members
• Ensuring quality control of project deliverables and making corrections as needed
• Overseeing project management activities to ensure that projects are executed in compliance with quality, time, and budget constraints
