Senior Software Engineer

Title: Senior Go Engineer

Location: (Ideally Onsite/Hybrid - Open to remote) Hasselt, Flemish Region, Belgium

Contribute to Biotech initiatives with the goal of eradicating disease - Dynamic, multidisciplinary team with diverse responsibilities.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Developing back-end microservices using Golang as part of an integrated architecture driven by data.
• Contribute to a scalable SaaS platform hosted on AWS, designed to efficiently handle large data volumes and support advanced algorithms and AI solutions. The products you help create will be integrated into a SaaS portal with a front-end developed in React.

Skills & Experience:

• Proficiency in developing containerised applications using Golang.
• Knowledge of application lifecycle management and continuous integration tools (e.g., Git, GitHub Actions, Terraform).
• Familiarity with distributed systems, service-oriented architectures, microservices, and event-driven designs.
• Skills in decomposing applications into services, with a preference for domain-driven design.
• Experience with various data communication methods, including REST, gRPC, and message-passing.
• Ability to implement security and privacy measures that comply with industry standards (such as IAM, authorisation/authentication protocols, GDPR).

Nice to have

• Familiarity with SCRUM or agile methodologies (Atlassian suite), along with AWS and Python experience, is a bonus.
