TechHeads is partnered with a well-established Irish company specialising in digital commerce for travel retail. They are looking to grow their team to assist in projects that will involve integrating new systems and the development of new software products.

This is a permanent role for a Senior Software Engineer. The successful candidate will be working as part of an Agile Full Stack engineering team. You will be helping to transform their platform to a SaaS offering. This will involve developing next-generation products and capabilities to the Airline e-commerce marketplace. Allowing you to be involved in cutting edge projects with lots of variety.

This is a hands on technical position, primarily consisting of designing, coding and testing using a modern tech stack including Java, SpringBoot and AWS. Giving you an opportunity to further develop your skillset with up to date technologies while working on interesting projects.

You will also be expected to mentor junior developers, conducting code reviews and helping them to progress and develop. Allowing you the opportunity to enhance your management skills and further your career as a Senior Developer.

Key Responsibilities:

• Technically hands-on including estimating, designing, coding, and debugging.
• Providing third line engineering support to our customers.
• Mentoring Junior members of the team.
• Working closely with our quality and performance engineers.

Requirements:

• 5+ Years Experience as a Software Engineer
• 5+ Years Experience working with Java, Web Services and Object Oriented Principles
• 3+ Years Experience with SpringBoot
• Experience with AWS
• Experience with Unit Testing
• Experience and understanding of Booking Systems.
• Solid experience in the development of highly available and scalable applications.

Nice to Have:

• A degree or masters in Computer Science/Engineering or a related field
• Experience in with Client/Stakeholder facing positions
• Good Understanding of Agile Principles
• Atlassian suite of products bitbucket/Jira/Confluence

Compensation:

• Salary: €85,000 - €95,000 DOE
