Quality Assurance Automation Engineer

We are looking for a QA Automation Engineer to join our team!

Job Description:

You need to be an excellent tester, communicator and feel comfortable interacting with stakeholders at various levels within the client organization in an empathic and considerate way. You must have proven experience in testing software. You must be willing to work on maintaining one of our current reporting applications and to develop a new application.

Responsibilities:

-Plan and implement the full set of test automation activities (API, integration, and UI tests): create, maintain and execute automated tests.

-Develop and extend in-house Test Automation tools and test frameworks

-Providing input to the project plan/release plan, defect/change management processes, systems integration, testing tools and processes.

-Working with both in-house and vendor testing teams by ensuring clear alignment with the domain-based development teams.

-Identifying areas of weakness to existing procedures, continually implement new procedures, and assess risk of impact from changes to projects.

-Collaborating and coordinating test activities with vendor, IT, and business users across countries and time zone.

-Assisting IT application team in achieving quality product by identifying defects and deficiencies early and providing feedback for continuously improving the development and testing processes.

Technically we are looking for:

-QA Automation experience with Gherkin, Selenium Webdriver and Java

-5+ years’ experience in software development, testing and support with minimum 5 years in hands-on Test Automation.

-Strong experience in software development processes, models, lifecycles, and methodologies, with particular emphasis on Agile methodology.

-Experience in API testing using Rest Assured

-Experience with integration & regressions testing and coordination with supporting systems.

- Experience with application development and multi-platform architectures.

-Knowledge of white/black box level testing, system and performance testing of applications using industry standard practices and tools.

-Experience with defect and change tracking, producing performance metrics

Nice to have:

-Continuous Integration: TeamCity or Jenkins

-Linux shell

-BDD – Behavior Driven Development

Preferred experience:

-Experience in performance tuning

-Experience in Finance industry

-Financial Services Domain knowledge

-Experience in working in and with distributed vendor model

-Database experience and advanced SQL skills

-UAT support or coordination activities
