BLOCKCHAIN ENGINEER

Svitla Systems Inc. is looking for a Blockchain Engineer for a full-time position (40 hours per week) in Romania. You’ll join a highly autonomous team of engineers dedicated to expanding the capabilities of The Wallet Core Library. This open-source, cross-platform library implements low-level cryptographic wallet functionality for a large number of blockchains succinctly. Your contributions will directly impact the ease with which developers integrate blockchain technologies into their applications, fostering broader adoption and enhancing user experiences.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in Crypto/Blockchain development using Rust, Go, or C++.
• Strong software development fundamentals, including knowledge of algorithms and data structures.
• Demonstrated capability in writing efficient, secure, and safe code.
• Good understanding of Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) internals, including memory/storage optimization and gas cost analysis.
• Familiarity with low-level Ethereum smart contract functions (delegate call, static call, call) and proven experience with maintaining or writing, or deploying an EVM smart contract.
• Solid grasp of Rust internals and compiler-level concepts (e.g., zero-cost abstractions, enum internals, memory safety).
• Self-managed, proactive work style; capable of independent work within a collaborative team environment.
• Excellent interpersonal, consultative, and communication skills, including exceptional written English communication skills.
• Proficiency in modern development practices, including automated testing and continuous integration, particularly for library development.

• Experience with cryptography and blockchain security.

Responsibilities

• Feature Innovation: Research, design, and develop new blockchain integrations in Rust; implement new features for existing blockchains.
• System Architecture: Design robust architectures ensuring the Core library seamlessly integrates with various blockchains and third-party systems.
• Rust Migration: Transition existing C++ codebase to Rust for enhanced security, robustness, and memory safety.
• Code Quality: Write clean, efficient, well-tested code, ensuring high test coverage.
