What You'll Do

We're looking for a Software Developer to help us automate and scale our data collection and analysis processes. You'll work with a passionate R&D team based in Bucharest and focus on:

• Web data mining and scraping
• AI-driven automation
• Workflow optimization
  
  

This is not a junior/entry-level role - we need someone with solid technical skills, who's ready to build, improve, and grow with us. Experience with AI technologies (e.g., LLMs, ChatGPT, OpenAI API) is a plus, but not a strict requirement.

Your Mission (Key Objectives)

• Automate study data and scholarship collection - triple the daily productivity of our Data Operators
• Develop smart crawlers that detect when data on the web changes
• Identify and solve inefficiencies in current workflows - build cost-effective automation solutions
  
  
  

Your Team

You'll be the second Software Automation Engineer in our growing R&D unit at SIA (Studyportals Intelligence Agency), reporting to Ioana, Process Intelligence Manager.

Expect a flat hierarchy, quick decision-making, and an open culture where your ideas matter. You'll collaborate with a smart, friendly, and tech-driven team (like Tibi - your future teammate).

Requirements

• 1-3 years of relevant experience (Data Engineering, or Web Scraping)
• Strong Python skills (especially for automation, scraping, and AI)
• Familiar with API integrations, structured and unstructured data
• Good understanding of PostgreSQL or similar databases
• Hands-on experience with AWS (S3, Lambda) is a plus
• Familiarity with LLMs, RAG, or OpenAI API is a plus
• Strong English skills (B2+)
• Independent, proactive, strong problem-solving mindset
