Platform Engineer – help build a new DevOps function

Joining Stibo DX in Oslo, you will become part of our Developer Productivity Team. You will be located in the office in Oslo, and you will also have the opportunity to work from home when needed.

Ensure a successful DevOps setup

As our new platform engineer, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the overall productivity and efficiency of our development processes. You will collaborate closely with our 80 software engineers and operations engineers to manage code releases, automate software deployment processes, and ensure a smooth and reliable operation of our systems.

More specifically, you will:

• Design, implement, and handle continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to streamline the software development process
• Work closely with our development teams to understand their requirements and provide support for integrating DevOps best practices into their workflows
• Ensure the availability, performance, and scalability of our systems
• Implement and maintain system security and data protection measures
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues in our internal environments
• Automate and streamline operations and processes to improve overall efficiency

You will get a broad interface within Stibo DX as you will also collaborate with other cross-functional teams to identify and implement innovative solutions.

Different ways into this position

Presently, our internal servers and integration pipeline predominantly rely on Jenkins, Linux, Bash/Shell, and Docker/Podman. As part of our ongoing optimization efforts, we are pursuing a more seamless integration with other components of the deployment pipeline, which incorporates technologies such as Openshift, Tekton, Kustomize, and Argo CD.

If you have expertise in any of these technologies, please feel free to highlight your proficiency.

Maybe you also:

• Have a bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
• Bring experience from a DevOps role
• Are familiar with security practices and tools in a DevSecOps environment
• Have an understanding of CI/CD pipelines and version control systems
• Bring knowledge of networking concepts and protocols with a focus on practical application
• Have a background in AWS with proficiency in infrastructure as code (IaC)
• Speak and write English effortlessly
