Job Description

The Senior HR Specialist role is integral to the HR team, and we are looking for someone either with HR experience or an interest in HR who can work in partnership with the team, and the Canada organization to deliver an exceptional employee experience. The role offers significant opportunities for impact across the organization, end to end ownership of HR projects, and visibility to leadership.

Key Responsibilities (include But Not Limited To)

HR Systems: Build capability and become the expert in Workday to manage all Workday-related tasks for the Canada organization, ensuring data accuracy and compliance. Producing reports and analysis to provide meaningful insights to inform HR business decisions.

Policy Expert and Employee Champion: Serve as the go-to expert for employees, providing guidance and support regarding policies, procedures and benefits.

Site Communication: Owning and executing site wide communication for the Canada organization, including Canada Connect. Ensure employee engagement via relevant content, and innovative reach.

HR Governance: Own essential governance activities including policy compliance, and leading projects as required. Collaborate, and innovate to implement best practices and improve HR processes.

Canada Capability: Collaborate with the Canada Capability Steering Team to strategically plan and implement training, and skill-building initiatives throughout the year. This is a key focus area for leadership, enabling our organization to develop skills aligned with the Canada Blueprint.

HR Leader and Team Support: Provide executive assistant support to the Canada Country HR Leader such as calendar management, team budget management etc. Includes supporting any team events or meetings.

  • Ability to develop effective relationships and manage expectations of multiple stakeholders
  • Initiative-taking and solution led mindset – identifies improvement opportunities and leads implementation of these
  • Excellent organisation and prioritisation skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence employees at all levels.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
