We are looking for a Project Manager to lead the Strategy and Portfolio Management group, ensuring efficient management of department budget and resources, enabling the development and delivery of business briefed projects.

A day in the life of…

PROJECT MANAGEMENT

  • Ensure proper implementation of Nestlé project management practices / tools to achieve flawless, effective and fast execution of portfolio of projects, in order to deliver on Business objectives and strategies.
  • Interact proactively with key stakeholders (including S&T leads, Category Leads, resources owners) to ensure the delivery of the overall project objectives (Deliver product(s) / process(es) / system(s) / solution(s) with defined scope, quality, time and cost (if applicable)).
  • Train and coach Project Managers on Nestlé Ways of Working, in particular on specific tools and practices (e.g. opportunity & risk management, Business Opportunity/Case/Plan preparation).
  • Contribute to the future commercial success of the business by considering the whole picture of the project, and by considering Nutrition & wellness and Sustainability commitments and effectively control scope changes through proactive and open communication with stakeholders.

PORTFOLIO MANAGEMENT

  • Analyze planning of S&T Team to facilitate resource allocation by S&T Head.
  • Management of department budget.
  • Overseas management of new ideation process to ensure ideas developed and progressed are business relevant.
  • Facilitate/Lead timely business reviews and annual development of operational master plan.
  • Facilitate tracking objectives, outcomes and resources within relevant timeboxes.

STRATEGY & NETWORKING

  • Lead the development of S&T roadmap/playbook aligned with business needs, R&D priorities, S&T cross-category platforms and S&T competencies.
  • Utilise the RDSG S&T playbook to support the development of project portfolio pipeline.
  • Development of ongoing ways of working to capture scouting and business knowledge to manage future innovation initiatives.
  • Create synergies through effective networking with all relevant R&D Units, business partners, markets, SBUs, Head Office and external partners (via Open Innovation).

STAKEHOLDER ENGAGEMENT

  • Manage multiple stakeholders.
  • Provide recommendations for decision-making with Nestlé decision-makers and business partners internally as well as externally.

PEOPLE LEADERSHIP

  • Ensure compliance with Nestlé Quality Safety Health Environment (QSHE) Policy.
  • Drive development of team members through development plan and by providing coaching/mentoring in accordance with Nestlé Leadership Framework.
  • Coach team member on defining “smart” objectives.
  • Delegate activities appropriately and provide feedback.
  • Provide visibility and exposure to talents in R&D.
  • Ensure active participation in Knowledge or Strategic Network.
  • Identify external/internal talents, drive people development and succession plans in line with R&D Singapore/Group Strategy.

What Will Make You Successful

  • Has a minimum of 5 years of experience in R&D.
  • Has a minimum of 3 years project management experience as part of project team and/or for specific project streams in a bigger project.
  • Operations and/or Corporate Functions and/or market experience is a plus.
  • Has successfully shown leadership skills within a cross-functional team.
  • Has worked in a matrix-like structure in a functionally structured environment.
  • Has demonstrated the courage and ability to solve problems.
  • Has proven communication skills (e.g. presents confidently and convincingly to steering committees).
  • Project Management certifications (Eg.PMP).
