Job Description
The New Product Introduction (NPI) Engineer is responsible for leading and executing all aspects of NPI activities, from defining and executing demos and proof-of-concept trials to supporting customer type approvals and field trials. This role involves working independently to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of NPI outcomes, including customer validation and acceptance, while applying specialist knowledge and experience to solve complex issues and contribute to process improvements. The NPI Specialist may also lead complex NPI activities from inception to completion, including lesson-learned sharing.
This role requires a comprehensive understanding of network design and configuration. Responsibilities include developing network designs, conducting product demonstrations and proof-of-concept trials, executing acceptance tests in both Nokia labs and customer environments, and facilitating workshops and fault analysis during new product introduction (NPI) activities. Furthermore, this position requires taking ownership of technical solutions within customer projects, ensuring successful implementation and integration.

How You Will Contribute And What You Will Learn
As part of our team, you will:
- Develop network designs and configuration
- Perform product demos and proof of concepts
- Execute acceptance tests in Nokia labs or at customer sites
- Perform workshops and fault analysis during NPI activities
- Take ownership of technical solutions within customer projects
You have:
- A bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, electrical engineering, telecommunications or equivalent
- An analytical mindset and highly oriented towards problem solving
- High motivation to work with technologies and products of the access network domain
- Preference and skills to work in teams and a customer-oriented mindset
- Three years of technical work experience (preferable in the area of FTTH, GPON, P2P, OSS)
- Knowledge in network forwarding and routing (NRS1, CCNA or equivalent)
- Experience with containerized platforms (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Experience with Python or equivalent
- Kubernetes / Kubernetes Clusters
- Usage of Containers, VMs
- Knowledge of MS Azure, Amazon AWS, Google GKE, Google Anthos
- Cloud scripting
- A solid background in Linux/Unix server system administration
- Knowledge of web services, API, REST, and RPC
- Experience with Linux Shell Scripting, ansible or Python scripting
