Embedded Software Engineer – Functional Safety (80–100%)

Location: Canton Bern, Switzerland

Start Date: Immediate or by arrangement

Max Salary: Up to CHF 120,000 per year

Language Requirement: German fluency

About the Role:

We are looking for a skilled Embedded Software Engineer to join a multidisciplinary team focused on functional safety and cybersecurity. Your role will involve developing, integrating, testing, and documenting C/C++ software for safety-critical systems. You will work on shaping software architectures and contribute to the certification process for high-reliability applications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, integrate, test, and document embedded software in C/C++
• Help design software concepts and architectures for safety-critical applications
• Support certification efforts (e.g., compliance with EN 50128 standards)
• Work in agile, cross-functional teams to continuously improve product quality

Your Profile:

• Engineering degree (Bachelor/Master/PhD) in Electrical Engineering or a related field
• Demonstrable experience in embedded software development, with exposure to Embedded Linux and/or RTOS
• Strong proficiency in C/C++
• Experience in functional safety and the development of safety-critical systems
• Familiarity with tools and technologies such as Jenkins, Python, and Ethernet communication is a plus
• Excellent German and English communication skills
