Finnair Technical Operations is responsible for the maintenance and the airworthiness of the Finnair fleet. The key objectives of Technical Operations are safety, reliable flight operations and cost-efficient maintenance processes.
We are now looking for a
DEVELOPMENT ENGINEER
who will be working as one of the development engineers in our Technical Operations (Tech OPS) Continuous Improvement team. You will be developing Tech OPS digital tools and processes in close co-operation with all stakeholders across the whole Finnair organization.
Each engineer in the team has their own specializations (e.g. Lean, analytics, IT tools). Your specializations will be developing our M365 digital tools, with emphasis on Power Apps and Power Automate. You will also work hands on with our aircraft maintenance ERP system (AMOS) data. This means e.g. ensuring the data quality and utilizing the data with our other digital tools. You will be working directly with the AMOS database and with various AMOS integrations, under guidance of our AMOS Main User and in close coordination with our AMOS Super User network.

Main Responsibilities Will Include
- Developing Technical Operations digital tools, with focus on Power Apps, Power Automate and other M365 tools
- Developing the use and management of AMOS data
- Coordinating, facilitating and supporting our Technical Operations process developments. Ensuring that the processes are appropriately documented
- Ensuring the standardisation of processes and sustainment of the standards by implementing metrics and follow-up practices
- Participating in AMOS upgrades
- Participating in AMOS development and implementation of new features
- Proven expertise in using Power Apps, Power Automate and SQL
- Proven expertise in working with data and integrations, including ETL tools
- Experience in using generative AI tools in developing processes and digital tools
- Good team working and communication skills
- Solution and teamwork-focused mindset
- Fluent written and spoken English
- Suitable technical education at B.Sc or M.Sc. level
- Experience in working with ERP or IT systems development, especially experience in working with AMOS
- Knowledge of aircraft maintenance philosophy and principles
- Expertise in using AI to optimize maintenance processes
- Process development skills, especially knowledge of Lean methods
- Project management skills
- Facilitation skills
- Analytics, Snowflake or Power BI skills
