Senior Backend Engineer (Europe Remote)

BnBerry is a travel tech company that helps hotels and resorts reach more guests and improve their guest experience. Our solution lets hotel businesses to easily list and manage their properties on Airbnb and VRBO, increasing occupancy rates and delivering exceptional guest experiences—all while maximizing their booking potential.

The new hire will join our BnBerry for Landlords team, building a new solution tailored for Individual Hosts and Landlords who want to put their vacation rental business on autopilot and drive more bookings effortlessly.

In this role, you will:

• Design, develop, and maintain backend systems using Laravel, PHP, MySQL, and related technologies
• Partner with cross-functional teams to create scalable, efficient backend solutions
• Take part in the full software development lifecycle—from planning through deployment
• Enhance backend systems for optimal performance, scalability, and reliability
• Collaborate with frontend engineers to ensure smooth integration between systems
• Spot and resolve technical debt and performance issues
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and documentation
  
  
  

Requirements

• 5+ years of backend development experience, specializing in PHP and Laravel
• Solid knowledge of MySQL databases and query optimization
• Hands-on experience with RESTful API
• Proficient with Git version control
• Sharp problem-solving abilities and meticulous attention to detail
• Self-motivated team player who thrives in remote environments
• Outstanding communication skills
• Experience with agile methodologies
• Fluent in English; knowledge of other European languages is a plus
