Network Engineer

Position: Network engineer

Location: Greater area of Zürich (relocation needed)

Contract: Permanent contract, full-time position

Key Responsibilities:

• Review current DCS Design and Architecture to enhance the system architecture.

• Design generic DCS architectures (routers/switches, radio, VMWare) and support tailored implementations for specific projects.

• Troubleshoot and support existing projects and lab environments.

• Support the setup and troubleshooting of lab environments.

• Manage network administration for CBTC Communication Components.

• Conduct system testing and validation of DCS reference architecture and design.

Our ideal candidate should have:

• Degree in Telecommunications or Network Engineering, or any related field.

• At least 2 years of experience in the Railway sector.

• Strong knowledge of network design and architecture, including QoS.

• Experience with Ethernet/Routing protocols (STP/RSTP/MSTP, LACP, OSPF, NAT, etc.).

• Familiarity with network security (firewalls, NAC, IPSec) is an advantage.

• Knowledge of WIFI technologies and Ethernet Ring Protection Switching.

• English is mandatory, any additional languages are a plus.
