About the Role

As a Senior Backend Java Developer, you'll be embedded in a dynamic DevOps team working in two-week sprints and ten-week program increments. You'll collaborate cross-functionally to design, develop, and deploy scalable backend systems powering mission-critical applications—built for performance, security, and flexibility.

What You'll Be Working With

• Designing and maintaining backend services using Java (11+), Spring Boot, JMS
• Deploying services in AWS Serverless environments (Lambda, Node.js)
• Working with Unix/Linux systems, Docker, and Kubernetes
• Writing scalable APIs and services for real-time data and connected applications
• Implementing CI/CD pipelines using GitLab, GitHub Actions, CDK, and Terraform
• Integrating security and IAM protocols (OAuth2, OpenID Connect, Keycloak)
• Ensuring performance and scalability through load testing, TDD/BDD, and monitoring

What You Bring

• 5+ years of backend Java development experience
• Hands-on knowledge of Spring Boot, JMS, Relational Databases, and Cloud Services
• Strong understanding of DevOps practices, microservices, and containerized deployments
• Experience with connected systems, telecom, or automotive industries is a plus
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, agile environment with product-focused teams

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Engineering, or related
• Fluent English (verbal & written)
• Based in Sweden and available for onsite work
