PHP Laravel Full Stack Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain scalable backend systems using Laravel and PHP.
• Debug and optimize existing backend code, focusing on improving performance, response time, and system efficiency.
• Build robust RESTful APIs for seamless integrations.
• Optimize database performance and manage high-load environments with MySQL.
• Debug, enhance, and maintain existing codebases for maximum performance.
• Collaborate with team members to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Evaluate user feedback and collaborate with product teams to refine and improve backend features based on real-world usage.
• Proactively recommend and execute program improvements, including performance optimizations and feature enhancements.
• Create comprehensive technical documentation (e.g., API specs, backend architecture) and conduct training sessions for team members on best practices and new features.
• Develop and maintain full-stack solutions using PHP and jQuery.
• Integrate and manage message brokers like RabbitMQ for efficient system communication.
• Implement caching solutions using Memcache to enhance performance.
• Collaborate on frontend tasks using JavaScript, jQuery, CSS, and HTML.
• Use Git for version control.

Must-Have Skills:

• PHP + Laravel (extensive experience required)
• jQuery (even though modern frameworks are preferred)
• Strong knowledge of MySQL with high-load environments.
• Message Queues (any technology, e.g., RabbitMQ, Kafka, etc.)
• Proven track record of building and scaling APIs for high-traffic applications
• Frontend (HTML+CSS) - at the level of making some fixes, using other templates
• DevOps skills like a) ability to use console Linux; b) Install/configuration LEMP stack, use/config docker
• Basic knowledge of Docker for local development
• Redis

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with database sharding/partitioning
• Strong knowledge of parsing techniques and tools
• Hands-on experience with Elasticsearch
• Familiarity with Selenium for automated testing
