The network engineer will provide network management services, including operation, maintenance, configuration, monitoring, and reporting.

He/she will also manage network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, IPS/IDS, load balancers, wireless APs, and telecommunication links.

Role And Responsibilities

General Responsibilities:

Operations & Administration:

Monitor network logs, troubleshoot issues, and apply security patches.
Manage network configurations, firewall rules, and access controls.
Oversee IP address management, network authentication, and security enforcement (e.g., NAC ClearPass administration).
Maintain network asset inventory, track contract expirations, and coordinate upgrades.
Perform routine backups, documentation, and network tuning to optimize performance.

Network Maintenance & Configuration

Obtain approval before maintenance, schedule downtime, and ensure proper shutdown/startup.
Regularly review and update network configurations and firewall rules to enhance security and efficiency.

Network Monitoring & Reporting

Continuously monitor network performance, analyze utilization, and recommend improvements.
Provide monthly reports on network faults, configuration changes, and utilization metrics.

Requirements

Experience with LAN networks management: technologies and protocols, configuration, monitoring, incident management, security.
Experience with WAN
3+ years of hands-on experience in configuring routers or switches (e.g., Cisco and Alcatel), firewalls, and intrusion detection or protection systems.
CCNE or equivalent.
