Job Description

As Poland & Ukraine Customer Engineering IP team in Nokia Network Infrastructure Delivery & Operations, we introduce the latest network technologies to our customers. This is done in the form of customer demos, workshops, proof of concept sessions and network rollouts.

In our team, we help our customers with the transformation to next-generation networking by leveraging the building blocks available in the sophisticated Nokia portfolio. This includes products in the areas of IP/MPLS core networks, Mobile core, Data Center and cloud networking, SDN, Triple-Play and network management systems.

In this role you are a trusted technical advisor of the customer. It therefore requires strong skills on technical project execution from vision through implementation while interacting with the customer in a professional and target-oriented manner. You will be working closely with architects, engineering and operation teams to perform detailed design and integration of all parts of the solution: IP/MPLS network, multivendor equipment and application components. You should feel comfortable with occasional business trips within Ukraine and other countries for customer interaction, international project support and training.

How You Will Contribute And What You Will Learn

  • Technical customer contact for IP/MPLS networks implementation and support.
  • Working together with Project management and technical staff to ensure technical consistency and interdependencies of projects.
  • Performs on-site consultancy/support of a customer network and works closely with experts for ensuring stability in network performance.
  • Assess current or future customer needs and priorities through communicating directly with customers, conducting surveys, or other methods.
  • Facilitate validation of the solution within customer's environment to ensure that all customer requirements, as defined in the contract are covered.
  • Ensures the solution can be integrated, deployed, operated and maintained efficiently and effectively within customer's environment.
  • Supports Project Execution Owner (PEO) in project planning and delivery Acceptance.
  • Manages current technical project requirements, preparing estimates, analyzing variances, and initiating corrective actions.
  • Leads creative problem solving for cross-functional groups within Nokia, customers, and 3rd party vendors.
  • Performs a Technical Risk Analysis. Proposes and implements risk mitigation actions.
  • Identifies new technical management-related opportunities to expand contracts with the customer (network expansion, new features, software corrections implementations).

Key Skills And Experience

  • A bachelor degree in a technical field related to Telecommunications/IT.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience working in IP Networking Domains.
  • Fluent in Ukrainian and English.
  • Strong working knowledge of Nokia IP/MPLS and Multivendor products.
  • Strong End to End knowledge. Experience working with IP/MPLS Core, Access and Enterprise technologies.
  • Experience managing complex customer environments, driving commitments, network activity to include services, deployment, migrations and upgrades.
  • Excellent planning, organizing, critical thinking/decision making, risk analysis skills.
  • Excellent communication, customer interfacing and technical management skills.
  • Good knowledge on integrating solutions, configuring network elements and troubleshooting customer networks.
  • Experience working with remote technical support teams and tools.

Technologies/Products:

  • IP/MPLS Networks, Segment Routing, Mobile Backhaul, L2/L3 VPN Solutions, Virtualization, Data Center solutions, Telco Cloud fabrics.
  • IP Routers product portfolio and solutions: Nokia or other vendor.
  • Network Management Systems, such as Nokia NSP/NFM-P or other vendor NMS solutions
  • Kubernetes, Linux/Unix shell, Scripting (Python), Containerlab
  • Traffic Generators: Spirent Test Center, IXIA.
