Embedded Engineer – FPGA & Firmware | Advanced Sensing Systems (Zurich, Switzerland) | Hybrid

One of our clients in Zurich is developing cutting-edge sensor fusion systems for next-generation robotics, industrial automation, and smart infrastructure—and they’re looking for someone like you.

They’re building intelligent systems that require tight integration between custom logic and embedded software, and they need an engineer who thrives on that kind of challenge.

What You'll Be Working On:

• Design FPGA logic in VHDL/Verilog to handle real-time data streams from complex sensor arrays
• Develop firmware in C/C++ to control, synchronize, and process data on Embedded SoCs (e.g., Xilinx Zynq UltraScale+)
• Work on low-latency data paths, buffering, and communication between FPGA fabric and processor cores
• Collaborate on signal processing, filtering, and system-level timing optimization
• Support board bring-up, test automation, and in-the-loop validation

Must-Have Skills:

• Strong background in both FPGA development and embedded firmware
• Experience with real-time data processing, DMA engines, and AXI interfaces
• Familiarity with sensor protocols (e.g., MIPI, LVDS, SPI, I2C)
• Experience with simulation tools (e.g., ModelSim, Questa) and timing analysis
• Comfortable using lab tools: oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, JTAG

Bonus Experience:

• Signal processing (fixed-point arithmetic, filters, FFT)
• Custom Linux builds with Yocto or Petalinux
• Safety-critical or high-reliability environments (e.g., medical or aerospace)
