Role โ Senior ICT Project Manager
Our client in the media sector is currently seeking an experienced ICT Project Manager to support project management activities within the Procurement Stream, planning the work in detail, monitoring progress, and reporting the status. Naturally, ensuring resourcing, coordinating the work of different Application Vendors, collaborating with other delivery Streams (data management, integration, testing, etc.), and managing issue resolution and escalations are part of the responsibilities.
Project definition:
The organization is in the middle of implementing a new S/4HANA Public Cloud-based ERP solution. In the procurement area, the scope of the project is to integrate existing procurement applications into the new S/4HANA ERP and roll out the whole solution (consisting of several applications) to all companies. The first roll-out will cover 2 Group Companies and 9 legal entities in Spain. Currently, the project is finishing the design phase and moving into realization.
Responsibilities:
Lead and deliver the stream:
- Plan and manage project deliverable list and task plan, including quality documentation enabling efficient implementation of the next phases of the project (i.e. countries/affiliates)
- Manage vendor(s) on day-to-day operational matters (commercial and contractual escalations are managed through Procurement)
- Report upwards (PMO and Project Director)
- Lead, coach and steer stream team in executing the project plan and realizing the outcome
- Manage cross-stream dependencies; coordinate and supervise cross-stream topics
- Other key duties:
- Monitor budget, validate schedule, and manage & allocate resources
- Participate in release/roll-out management and scope management including change request and decision management
- Participate in issue and risk management
- Manage quality of the stream
- Manage and monitor expectations
- Manage change and internal communication within the stream
- Manage acceptance of deliverables, including working solutions, end-user acceptance and documentation
Requirements for person to be selected:
Candidate needs to present solid, minimum 5 years of experience in IT solution delivery, preferably related to procurement and/or finance solutions with a proven track record in organizational change management. In addition to the skills needed to cover the above responsibilities, the candidate should also possess a high level of the following qualities:
- Capacity to manage stress situations
- Ability to multi-task and manage various project elements simultaneously
- Leadership and change management skills
- Big-picture thinking and vision with a can-do attitude
- Attention to detail
- Conflict resolution skills
- Experience with European-wide technology implementation projects
- Evidence of commitment to agreed timelines
- Experience with Monday.com as a project management tool is considered a plus
