Product Designer (Berlin-based)

What is Deep?

DeepNews is a Berlin-based technology company focused on structuring and transforming unstructured information into actionable insights in real time. Our proprietary AI technology powers advanced search, personalized content curation, and generative AI applications.

We have built two products:

• DeepNews aggregates global news for a trustworthy, personalized experience.
• DeepPulse quantifies public perception and makes it actionable in real time. We enable organizations to unlock AI-driven insights without extensive resources.

Until now, all product design has been led by our founder Maxim — from UX flows to UI components. As we grow, we’re looking for our first dedicated designer to take ownership of the end-to-end design process and help shape how users experience Deep.

What is your role?

• Work on disinformation detection: Join us in designing a new product from scratch — building tools together that help uncover and respond to disinformation in real time.
• Design core user experiences: Craft intuitive interfaces for our products — from real-time analytics to personalized news discovery.
• Build a consistent design system: Develop and maintain a scalable system that ensures visual and functional consistency.
• Prototype and iterate quickly: Use mockups to explore ideas, test solutions, and gather feedback early.
• Partner with engineering: Work hand-in-hand with developers to bring designs to life with care and precision.

What skills are we looking for?

• Strong portfolio with digital product design work (UX/UI)
• Experience with tools like Sketch, Figma or similar
• Understanding of design systems, component libraries, and responsive design
• Ability to collaborate with engineers and speak their language
• Good instincts for visual design, layout, and typography

• Formal training (e.g. UX, HCI, Graphic Design)
• Experience working closely with technical teams
