Objective:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Data Analyst with a minimum of 5 years of experience who will serve as a key point of contact for new clients, helping them to navigate and understand their data. The ideal candidate possesses a strong analytical mindset and is adept at interpreting complex data sets to derive meaningful insights.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the first point of contact for new clients, understanding their data needs and challenges.
- Translate client data into actionable insights by developing Python and SQL transformations for our datamarts using dbt.
- Be a key contributor to the design and evolution of our data stack and product roadmap.
- Build and maintain ERD’s and mapping documentation and be able to translate source system schemas into business focussed reporting models.
- Analyze and interpret data from various sources, uncovering connections and trends across sources and domains.
- Perform Exploratory Data Analysis to identify patterns, anomalies, and insights that support strategic decision-making.
- Create detailed descriptions for master data files, ensuring clarity and ease of understanding for stakeholders.
Skills and experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics or similar. A master’s degree is a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in data analysis with a solid understanding of data management practices in a professional setting.
- Strong experience with dbt (data build tool), bonus for experience with DLT (data load tool) and dagster.
- Proficiency in Python and SQL.
- Experience developing and querying data warehouses, strong knowledge of Kimball data warehouse design is essential.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work with complex data sets.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to present data insights clearly and effectively.
- Ownership: Track record of driving and delivering complete, high quality solutions to problems independently.
- Experience mentoring junior team members.
- Experience in building predictive models in python is preferred.
