Engineering Manager

We are looking for an experienced Engineering Manager to join and lead one of the key development streams.

Our customer is the leading school transportation provider in North America, being the owner of more than a half of all yellow school buses in the United States. Every day, the company completes 5 million student journeys, moving more passengers than all U.S. airlines combined and delivers reliable, quality services for 1,100 school districts.

As Engineering Manager, responsible for facilitating alignment between product and technical streams, providing oversight and direction to technical leadership within a Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) environment, and managing and controlling integrations. you will lead a development stream responsible for core application suitе. You will be provided with the opportunity to involve development teams and non-development stakeholders to achieve mission critical goals of the enterprise.

Responsibilities:

• Lead a group of development tech leaders ensuring efficiency, goal orientation and achievement of business goals and ensure following architecture governance;
• Improve software development processes across teams based on Agile principles and practices;
• Cooperate with key functional components of development stream (development teams, Program manager, Product manager, Architect, etc) and cross-stream stakeholders;
• Participate planning efforts involving development, product, architecture and quality perspectives;
• Help Identify and communicate development risks alongside mitigation strategies;
• Contribute to project prioritization based on development and product inputs;
• Address customer issues efficiently, lead towards process and product improvement;
• Integrations and release management
  
  

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in software development on modern technology stack using Java technology stack
• 3+ years of experience on Tech Lead or Architect role
• Experience with Cloud platforms (preferably AWS) and DevOps practices
• Practical knowledge of cloud native software observability and monitoring
• Strong understanding of architecture, quality and security perspectives on software development
