Data Scientist

I am currently searching for a senior freelance Data Scientist to join a valued client of mine in Brussels.

In your day to day, you will apply advanced graph theory, learning, and mining techniques to extract insights, optimize application lifecycle management, and support cloud migration efforts. This role offers the chance to work on cutting-edge technologies and contribute to impactful digital transformation projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Modernize Application Lifecycle Management: Develop strategies for optimizing application lifecycle management and migration processes, leveraging advanced graph learning techniques.

• Advanced Methodologies: Apply cutting-edge graph theory, graph mining, and machine learning methods to exploit the knowledge graph, contributing to both operational efficiency and strategic decision-making.

• Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including data engineers, developers, and business stakeholders, to ensure successful integration of data science methodologies into the organization's digital transformation efforts.

• Innovation: Identify opportunities for improvement, propose new solutions, and stay ahead of industry trends in digital twins, AI, and graph learning.

Required Technical Experience:

• AI & Machine Learning: Expertise in R, Python, and graph learning technologies.

• Graph-Based Approaches: Experience with knowledge graphs, graph mining, and related technologies.

• Programming & Tools: Proficiency in Python, Spark, SQL, and familiarity with tools like GitLab, Jupyter, Kubernetes, Docker, Jenkins, and Nexus.

• Databases: Strong working knowledge of Neo4j and SQL databases.

• Analytical Skills: Exceptional ability to synthesize complex data, think critically, and propose data-driven solutions.

• Education: A Master’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field is required. A PhD is a plus.

Languages: English and Dutch OR French

The Offer:

• Long-term freelance contract
• Hybrid working in Brussels
• Up to €650 per day (DOE)
