Job Description

We are looking for a Head of Sales – LAT to lead our regional sales strategy, drive revenue growth, and expand our market presence in the mining and industrial IoT sectors. This is a high-impact role responsible for developing key partnerships, executing go-to-market strategies, and positioning CDM as the leading provider of cognitive digital mining solutions.

How You Will Contribute And What You Will Learn

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy for LAT, focusing on AI-driven solutions for mining, oil and gas, defense and ports, mission-critical connectivity, and industrial automation.
  • Drive revenue growth by identifying and securing high-value contracts with mining companies, industrial clients, and technology partners.
  • Establish and maintain strategic relationships with key decision-makers, including C-level executives at mining operators and industrial enterprises.
  • Define and optimize go-to-market (GTM) strategies, including direct sales, channel partnerships, and ecosystem collaborations.
  • Work closely with the business development, product and engineering teams to align solutions with customer needs and market trends.
  • Manage complex sales cycles, including contract negotiations, pricing strategies, and deal structuring.
  • Represent CDM at industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events to drive brand awareness and business opportunities.
  • Utilize data-driven insights and market intelligence to refine sales tactics and improve decision-making.
  • Ensure compliance with regional regulations, procurement processes, and contractual obligations within the LATC vertical sectors.

Key Skills And Experience

  • Proven track record in B2B sales leadership within mining, and oil and gas; Knowledge and record of sales in ports, defense, and public safety sectors is a substantial plus.
  • Deep understanding of industrial IoT, AI-driven automation, and mission-critical connectivity solutions.
  • Deep knowledge of mining use cases, challenges and industry gaps.
  • Experience selling to large mining operators, EPCs, and industrial technology buyers.
  • Strong knowledge of contract negotiations, procurement cycles, and regulatory frameworks in APAC.
  • Familiarity with connectivity technologies (5G, LTE, TSN, private networks), cloud platforms (AWS, Azure), and digital twin solutions is a plus.

Sales & Leadership Skills:

  • 10+ years of experience in enterprise sales, business development, or commercial leadership roles.
  • Ability to develop and execute high-impact sales strategies and exceed revenue targets.
  • Strong relationship-building skills, with a network of decision-makers in mining, energy, and industrial sectors.
  • Experience in multi-country sales operations within Latin America.
  • Hands-on experience with CRM tools (Salesforce, HubSpot) and data-driven sales analytics.

Soft Skills:

  • Strong negotiation, persuasion, and communication skills in both technical and business discussions.
  • Fluent in English and Portuguese.
  • Results-oriented mindset, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
  • Strategic thinker with a problem-solving approach and adaptability to regional market dynamics.
