Pearon Carter are working with a heavily backed startup who are looking to innovate the gaming industry.

Using the power of UGC, they are looking to become a household name over the next few years.

Due to a huge cash injection, they are looking to add a Senior PHP Developer to their team.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Comprehending the technical needs of game developers, mod creators, payment providers, and marketplaces.
• Assisting in defining the solution architecture.
• Collaborating with frontend, API, and integration development teams to understand, define, and create our REST API to meet their requirements.
• Designing APIs to ensure content synchronization and creating a system for games to receive updates.
• Testing and implementing your APIs.
• Ensuring that APIs are scalable and secure, capable of supporting thousands of concurrent players globally.

What You’ll Bring:

• More than three years of PHP development experience, with a focus on frameworks like Laravel, Symfony, and Lumen.
• Proficient in working with NoSQL key-value stores, such as Redis, as well as relational databases like PostgreSQL and MySQL.
• Expertise in data modeling for high-volume database operations, with a strong grasp of scalable workloads and effective data storage strategies.
• Adept at writing clean, reliable, and reusable code, with experience mentoring and reviewing the work of other backend developers.
• Solid understanding of RESTful APIs and their best practices.
• Knowledgeable in various Amazon Web Services, including S3, Lambda, SNS, SES, SQS, EC2, and RDS.

Salary

They offer an excellent salary of up to $150,000 + Super.

Ideally Melbourne, but open to remote
