Site Reliability Engineer

Job Description

• Infrastructure Management: Design, implement, and maintain scalable and reliable cloud infrastructure.
• Monitoring and Incident Response: Monitor system performance and respond to incidents to maintain high availability and reliability.
• Automation: Automate repetitive tasks and improve existing processes using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.
• CI/CD Pipelines: Develop and optimize Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to ensure seamless deployment processes.
• Collaboration: Work closely with development teams to improve services through rigorous testing and release procedures.
• System Design: Participate in system design consulting, platform management, and capacity planning.
• Metrics and Analysis: Gather and analyse metrics from operating systems and applications to assist in performance tuning and fault finding.

Requirements:

• Experience: 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar role, with a strong understanding of SRE and DevOps principles.

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in cloud platforms AWS, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and monitoring tools (DataDog).
• Programming: Strong scripting skills in languages such as Python or Bash.
• Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Agile Methodologies: Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
