Senior Security Architect (Threat Modeling & Network Security)

I am looking for an experienced cybersecurity professional to lead security strategy, architecture, policies, and processes to protect platforms, systems, and data from threats. This role ensures compliance, mitigates emerging risks, and drives the adoption of security best practices.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain IT security policies, standards, and guidelines aligned with industry best practices and business needs.
  • Lead IT security projects, oversee managed security services, and collaborate with external security partners.
  • Implement secure design principles, threat modeling, and security frameworks (e.g., NIS2, ISO 27000, ENISA, ISF, COBIT).
  • Assess applications and infrastructure for vulnerabilities, ensuring compliance with security standards.
  • Provide expert security guidance, resolve security concerns, and drive secure adoption of emerging technologies.
  • Monitor and mitigate emerging threats while managing security incidents and exceptions.
  • Conduct risk assessments and enforce security requirements across projects and operations.
  • Support compliance with GDPR, Zero Trust Architecture (ZTA), and broader security best practices.
  • Promote security awareness and align security initiatives with company culture and values.
  • Prevention or minimal impact of security breaches.
  • Adoption of security architecture and policies across the organization.
  • Cost-effective security measures integrated into business operations.
  • Secure implementation of new technologies.


Experience Required

  • Strong expertise in IT security practices, encryption, authentication, EDR, and XDR.
  • Experience with multi-factor authentication, DevSecOps methodologies, and threat mitigation.
  • Ability to assess security risks, oversee penetration testing, and ensure regulatory compliance (e.g., GDPR, PCI DSS, NIS2).
  • Deep understanding of IT architecture, security frameworks (NIS2, ISO 27001), and risk management.
  • Security certifications (CISSP, CISM) and networking certifications (CCNA, CCNP, CCIE) preferred.
  • Master’s degree in cybersecurity, computer science, or related field is an advantage


The ideal candidate will have come from an Networking background and will have strong leadership, collaboration, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to influence security priorities across technical and business teams. Excellent communication skills for engaging stakeholders at all levels, coupled with a proactive and self-motivated approach to independent decision-making. A commitment to innovation and continuous improvement in security practices.
