PHP Developer

We’re looking for a skilled PHP Developer who is passionate about building high-quality, maintainable software and enjoys working in a collaborative environment.

This position is ideal for someone with strong PHP expertise, who also values clean architecture, proactive thinking and continuous improvement.

Essentials:

• Have +5 years of experience in PHP environment;
• Extensive experience developing state of the art Object Oriented PHP;
• Expert knowledge in MySQL database design; 
• Experience with JavaScript, HTML and CSS;
• Have experience with design patterns;
• Proactive, innovative and driven by challenges beyond the minimum requirements;
• Strong team player with excellent communication skills;
• Fluency in English (written and spoken).

Bonus skills:

• Experience with Symfony framework;
• Familiarity with container technologies like Docker and Kubernetes;
• Exposure to CI/CD workflows and cloud infrastructure;
• Knowledge of RESTful API development and third-party integrations;
• Strong inclination to apply principles like SOLID, YAGNI, DRY, etc. on a high level without being dogmatic about it - acknowledge exceptional cases when code duplication is better than DRY;
• Ability to write clean and decoupled code - even in the absence of unit tests or end-to-end tests;
• Treating end-to-end tests as actual task description;
• Keeping a clean Git history (we use squashing & rebasing instead of merging);
• Writing self-assigned meaningful task titles when needed;
• Bash scripting skills to keep up with gardening and repetitive tasks;
• Initiative to improve the local setup on a constant basis.
