Frontend Developer

A day in the life of a Frontend Developer

Your role as a Frontend Developer and a consultant at Valtech will not only entail providing technical expertise but also understanding the business needs of our clients and effectively communicating how our solutions can address their challenges and contribute to their success.

Your responsibilities will encompass every stage of client engagements, from initial discovery to final delivery. This will involve close collaboration with local and regional project teams, both internally at Valtech and alongside our valued clients.

In addition, you will:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deploy frontend solutions that meet client requirements
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of our development processes and methodologies
• Actively participate in client meetings, workshops, and presentations to ensure alignment and transparency throughout the project lifecycle

You and the role

You are a developer at mid-to-senior level with at least 5 years of experience in the field of front-end development. You’re passionate about building scalable, and maintainable user interfaces and enjoy collaborating with teams across functions to deliver exceptional digital experiences.

As a person, you are flexible and adaptable and can see yourself thriving in working in a fast-paced start-up like environment.

We would love if you have

• A relevant technical education or equivalent level of experience within the following areas or similar: computer science, software engineering, application development, frontend development
• At least 5 years of experience in frontend development, especially within modern frontend stacks
• Preferable professional working experience from IT consultancy, digital agency, start-up or similar fast-paced working environment
• Proven track record of effectively engaging with stakeholders and identifying opportunities to add value to their projects
• Knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG, etc.) to build inclusive and compliant web applications
• Flexibility to work on-site in and around Stockholm multiple times a week
• Due to a client requirement, fluency in Swedish is a strict requirement for this position

Your technical skills should include:

• Proficiency in React, Vue, Next.js or other React frameworks
• Javascript, HTML, CSS
• GraphQL
• API integrations
• Agile tools such as Jira and Confluence
