Java Developer - Microservices/Kubernetes Engineer

Job Description

Unified Assurance team manages services on a single platform: this includes silo’d tools that run across varied and hybrid networks to ensure availability of communications, information, and product offerings.

We are looking for java engineers with network engineering or microservices/kubernetes background. Ideal candidate have experience with the design of major features and launching them into production, strong understanding of OOP principles and passion in solving difficult problems in areas of software integration. The person in this role will contribute to key features and improvements.

Requirements:

• Strong organizational, verbal, and written communication skills
• 2-3+ years of java development experience or degree in software engineering.
• Experience with REST methodology.
• Profficiency in Linux command line
• Working knowledge in some other stack languages (C++/Go/Python/NodeJs) would be an additional plus
• 2+ years Experience with distributed microservices, kubernetes, docker, helm

• Experience in debugging software applications
• Knowledge of cloud computing & networking technologies
• Experience developing distributed systems
• Knowledge of APIs and API Security
• Experience in network engineering/management (Ipv4/Ipv6 stack,BGP,OSPF,Firewalls)

Responsibilities

As a member of the software engineering division, you will apply basic to intermediate knowledge of software architecture to perform software development tasks associated with developing, debugging or designing software applications or operating systems according to provided design specifications. Build enhancements within an existing software architecture and occasionally suggest improvements to the architecture.
