Job Description

Our client is a high-growth fintech firm providing cutting-edge solutions for payments, trading platforms, and financial automation. They leverage AI, blockchain, cloud computing, and advanced analytics to revolutionize financial services across Asia. They are seeking a Head of Software Development (ASIA) to lead regional technology teams, drive software innovation, and oversee scalable fintech solutions. This role will play a critical part in developing and optimizing next-generation financial products. This individual will oversee engineering teams across multiple Asian markets, ensuring alignment with business objectives, compliance standards, and industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities

Technology Leadership & Development Strategy

  • Lead the design, development, and deployment of fintech applications, ensuring high performance and security.
  • Define and implement software development roadmaps, technology stack decisions, and best practices.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations, cybersecurity standards, and risk management frameworks.

Team Management & Agile Delivery

  • Oversee and mentor regional software development teams across Asia, fostering a high-performance engineering culture.
  • Implement Agile/Scrum methodologies to accelerate software delivery and innovation.
  • Drive initiatives to improve coding standards, DevOps practices, and CI/CD pipelines.

Innovation & Fintech Solutions

  • Develop cloud-native, API-driven, and microservices-based fintech platforms.
  • Leverage AI, blockchain, and big data analytics to enhance financial products.
  • Collaborate with data scientists, security teams, and product managers to build next-gen fintech solutions.

Stakeholder & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with business leaders, product teams, and compliance officers to align tech strategy with business goals.
  • Engage with external fintech partners, vendors, and regulators to ensure seamless integrations.
  • Represent the company at technology conferences, industry forums, and fintech innovation events.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Managing cross-border teams and have having regional working experiences is a plus.
  • At least 10+ years of experience in software development leadership, fintech applications, and cloud technologies.
  • Expertise in modern programming languages (Java, Python, Go, Kotlin, etc.) and frameworks.
  • Strong knowledge of cloud computing (AWS, Azure, GCP), microservices, APIs, and DevOps practices.
  • Experience in high-frequency trading, digital banking, payments, or blockchain applications is a plus.
  • Proven ability to lead multinational engineering teams across different time zones.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
