Sr. Certified Scrum Master - CSM and SAFe Required

Location Remote & Onsite Twice a week - Vienna, VA

Duration : Long term ongoing with no end date

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as Scrum Master for one or more Agile teams, ensuring effective implementation of Scrum practices and values.
• Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies, including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives.
• Guide the team on Agile principles and help them become self-organized and cross-functional.
• Identify and eliminate obstacles that impede the team’s progress, escalating when necessary.
• Collaborate closely with Product Owners, Release Train Engineers (RTEs), and other Scrum Masters within the SAFe Agile Release Train (ART).
• Track team performance metrics (velocity, burndown, etc.) and report progress to stakeholders.
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement, facilitating regular retrospectives and ensuring actionable outcomes.
• Foster alignment and transparency by ensuring proper use of tools like JIRA, Azure DevOps, or Rally for backlog and sprint tracking.
• Coach and mentor junior Scrum Masters and team members on Agile best practices.

Required Skills & Experience:

• 7–10 years of experience as a Scrum Master in Agile software development environments.
• Certified CSM (Certified ScrumMaster) and SAFe Scrum Master (SSM) or other SAFe certifications.
• Strong knowledge of Agile frameworks including Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, and Lean principles.
• Proven experience working in Scaled Agile (SAFe) environments, including Program Increment (PI) Planning and ART ceremonies.
• Hands-on experience with Agile project management tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, Azure DevOps).
• Excellent facilitation, conflict resolution, and servant leadership skills.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement abilities across technical and business domains.
