Software Development Engineer III

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in design and development of high scale distributed systems. You will work closely with a team of engineers, data scientists, and product managers to design, develop, and optimize our search engine platform.

Responsibilities

• Produce high quality software that is unit tested, reviewed, and regression tested
• Contribute towards code reviews and documentation
• Debugging production issues and publish RCAs as applicable
• Participate in design reviews and share SDLC best practices

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Java and Scala.
• Strong understanding of information retrieval principles, data structures, and algorithms.
• Hands-on experience with search technologies such as Elasticsearch, Solr, or Lucene is highly desirable.
• 4+ years of experience in coding and design
