Your Why


  1. You are a driven data professional with a passion for using insights to drive smarter decision making and an improved customer experience. You are curious, a problem solver and are excited by the art & science of delivering powerful insights.
  2. You will have deep expertise in defined scope insights (e.g. what’s the profile of Call Centre callers or who should we target for a Campaign) .
  3. You have deep experience in PowerBI, being able advise the D&A team on best-practices and provide reporting that can drive Ubanks decisions .
  4. You have experience in building machine learning models to optimize customer experience (e.g. churn, lead scoring, cross-sell) but developing PowerBI best-practices is a key focus in the short-term .
  5. You have a passion for driving data driven decision making and ensure the successful delivery of analytics projects.
  6. You enjoy building relationships with stakeholders and partnering across your business to create valued outcomes.
  7. You want to join a growing team and play a key role in the transformation of data and analytics delivery for a rapidly-growing, digitally-native business.


As a Senior Data Analyst, You Will Have


  • Technical expertise in Power BI and building datasets to support self-service visualisation tools
  • Deep expertise in defined scope insights (e.g. who should we engage in an email campaign)
  • Strong business acumen and excellent communication skills and experience working with a range of technical and business stakeholders.
  • Experience in developing machine learning models
  • Strong problem-solving, organisational and time management skills.
  • Technical expertise in analytic tools such as SQL, DBT or Python to extract meaning from complex data sources.
  • Demonstrated experience in the discovery, exploration and analysis of large and complex data sets, preferably including financial services data.
  • A disciplined approach to managing quality and priority.
  • Demonstrated experience in building robust analytical assets and pipelines (automated or repeated processes and general-purpose view/table structures supporting analytics/insights).


Desirable


  • Previous work experience with the Databricks platform (highly desirable).
  • Previous insights experience at a Consultancy, Data Vendor or Agency (highly desirable)
  • Experience in code mgmt. tools such as BitBucket, Jenkins and GitHub (highly desirable)
  • Experience in financial products or insurance sectors (desirable).
  • Experience working in the Marketing (ideally) or Product or Call Centre domains
  • Experience working with Digital data (ideally Google/Tealium but Adobe etc OK) Analytics)
  • Experience in Customer Journey Analytics


Nice To Have


  • Practical experience of data preparation, transformation and modelling techniques including Data Vault and Kimball/Inmon


What will stand you apart from other applicants is if you have:


  • Consultancy experience, especially with Data specialist consultancies
  • Data Vendor or Agency experience
  • Experience with Databricks, Snowflake, Coalesce, DBT
