TechHeads is partnered with a well-established Irish company specialising in digital commerce for travel retail. As they continue to grow, they are looking to expand their team with a Senior Software Engineer to help develop innovative solutions and integrate new systems for exciting, greenfield projects.

You’ll be working with a modern tech stack, including Java, SpringBoot, and AWS, to build greenfield applications that will redefine the airline e-commerce marketplace. These are new and exciting projects, offering plenty of variety and the chance to push the boundaries of technology in an industry that’s constantly evolving. You’ll have the opportunity to work on innovative solutions that will shape the future of travel retail.

This is a hands-on technical position, where you'll get the chance to design, code, and test complex systems using the latest technologies. At the same time, you’ll also be expected to mentor junior developers, conducting code reviews and helping them to grow in their careers. Giving you the opportunity to enhance your leadership and management skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Technically hands-on including estimating, designing, coding, and debugging.
• Providing third line engineering support to our customers.
• Mentoring Junior members of the team.
• Working closely with our quality and performance engineers.

Requirements:

• 5+ Years Experience as a Software Engineer.
• 5+ Years Experience working with Java.
• 3+ Years Experience with SpringBoot.
• Experience with AWS.
• Experience with Unit Testing.
• Experience and understanding of Booking Systems.
• Solid experience in the development of highly available and scalable applications.

Nice to Have:

• A degree or masters in Computer Science/Engineering or a related field.
• Experience in with Client/Stakeholder facing positions.
• Good Understanding of Agile Principles.
• Atlassian suite of products bitbucket/Jira/Confluence.

Compensation:

• Salary: €85,000 - €95,000 DOE
• Benefits: Pension, Health Insurance, Bonus Scheme
