For one of our major banking clients we are currently seeking a skilled Data Engineer to support its data integration initiatives and drive seamless data management across its platforms. You will work within a highly innovative team, ensuring data models align with enterprise goals and facilitate efficient data-driven applications. This role offers a hybrid working model with a long-term career pathway. Important to operate in such a role is an good understanding of the devops way of work though main expertise lies in the data main line of work.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and optimize data pipelines for enterprise applications.
  • Implement and maintain data models to support business solutions.
  • Work closely with engineers, data scientists, and business stakeholders to ensure data integration aligns with strategic objectives.
  • Utilize Power Designer and other modeling tools to create efficient and scalable data architectures.
  • Optimize SQL queries and ensure efficient database performance.
  • Develop and manage data warehousing solutions, incorporating Data Vault basics.
  • Support data governance, security, and compliance within the banking environment.
  • Collaborate in an Agile setting, continuously improving data processes.


Required Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience as a Data Engineer in a banking or financial services environment.
  • 4+ years of experience with Azure Data Factory (ADF).
  • Experience with data integration, ETL pipelines, and cloud-based data solutions.
  • Knowledge of data governance, compliance, and security best practices in financial institutions.
  • Background in data warehousing and familiarity with Data Vault basics.
  • SQL Server knowledge is beneficial.
  • Completion of several computer science courses.
  • Ability to work in a hybrid setting with stakeholders across different teams.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
  • Familiarity with Python or other scripting languages for data processing.
  • Understanding of machine learning workflows and AI model integration.
  • Background in financial data management or regulatory reporting.
