About ZEM

With over 19 years of experience in lithium-ion batteries and electric vehicle technologies, ZEM offers state-of-the-art battery solutions and drivelines for the maritime sector. Over the years ZEM has delivered many award-winning solutions for tourist- passenger- and service vessels. As examples, ZEM delivered battery systems for the award-winning vessels Vision of the Fjords (2016), Future of the Fjords (2018), and Legacy of the Fjords. ZEM is a fast growing, profitable company. The revenue for 2024 was approximately 300 MNOK. As of today, ZEM has 40 employees and is located in Høvik outside Oslo, Norway.

In 2021, AB Volvo Penta became the majority shareholder of ZEM AS. The company is organized as a standalone entity and the CEO reports to the Board of Directors.

We Are Now Looking For The Next CEO To Lead The Company, As The Present CEO, Who Is Also a Founder And Owner, Wishes To Step Into a Less Operational Role. In This Role You Will:

• Be fully responsible for the ZEM business, reporting to the ZEM Board of Directors
• Work with the ZEM management team and Board of Directors set and execute a profitable growth strategy
• Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, partners, and customers
• Build on the strong customer base in Norway and expand the business internationally
• Oversee company-wide operations, ensuring efficiency and alignment with strategic goals
• Lead a collaborative and inclusive work culture, encouraging teamwork and innovation
• Build the network to draw upon the benefits of being part of Volvo Group
  
  

To Succeed In This Role, We Believe You Have:

• A growth mindset and solid experience from commercial leadership
• Understanding of relevant technologies for the business. Experience from the electric vehicle industry is a merit
• Relevant understanding of the maritime industry
• Proven leadership capability with a collaborative and hands-on leader style
• Fluent in one Scandinavian language and in English
