Senior Software Developer – Maritime Navigation Systems

About the Role

As a Senior Software Developer, you will contribute to the development and maintenance of two core platforms:

• SDK for ECDIS (Electronic Chart Display and Information System) – a vital navigational tool on commercial vessels, enabling users to read, display, and analyze maritime charts.
• NavStation – an advanced route planning tool supporting the visualization of multiple data layers such as weather forecasts, environmental regulations, and passage planning information to improve compliance, efficiency, and decision-making.

You will be part of a highly skilled and passionate team, working with C++ and the Qt framework to build cross-platform applications used across the global maritime industry.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the SDK and NavStation platforms
• Design and implement new features and software components
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
• Participate in Agile/Scrum development processes
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of development workflows and best practices
• Ensure high code quality through unit testing and modern DevOps approaches

Required Qualifications

• 4 years of professional experience in software development using C++ and/or Qt
• Solid understanding of SQL and API-based systems integration
• Experience with unit testing, Agile methodologies, and DevOps workflows
• Fluent in spoken and written English
• University degree in computer science or equivalent relevant experience

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Microsoft Azure
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools
• Experience with Docker and Linux application development
