Senior Officer - Business Continuity Management

As a Senior Officer you will be responsible for day-to-day management and handling Business Continuity activities of RAKBANK. Work closely with business and BCM coordinators to complete BCM activities while adhering to internal requirements and external regulatory (CBUAE) guidelines and BCM standards. Participate in the development, validation, maintenance and monitoring of standards and plans for business continuity and crisis management of the Bank.


What You’ll Do


  • Conduct business impact and dependency analysis for non-availability of processes or systems.
  • Prepare templates to gather and analyze information for Business Continuity Planning.
  • Engage with managers and staff to collect data on current practices.
  • Document recovery procedures in standardized formats.
  • Assist in rolling out and maintaining business continuity plans.
  • Develop and execute test scripts and plans with input from business and IT.
  • Record and analyze Business Continuity Planning test results, ensuring follow-up actions.
  • Perform DR gap analysis on critical IT processes and systems.
  • Provide training on Business Continuity Management responsibilities, incident management, and emergency response.
  • Monitor and update Business Continuity plans and recommend improvements.
  • Coordinate and evaluate DR tests, addressing any identified gaps.
  • Prepare incident reports, conduct root cause analyses, and suggest corrective actions.


What We're Looking For


  • Degree/Diploma in Business Management or Information Technology or Equivalent Professional Qualification.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a reputed Bank, including minimum 2 years in specialized areas such as IT/Projects/Banking Operations/Risk Management/Audit etc.
  • Ability to facility and coordinate (Plan and control)
  • Good knowledge of Business Continuity Planning and technical IT
  • Good understanding of Banking and financial service processes.
