• Position Overview** In January 2023, our client introduced a $30M early-stage, equity-focused fund, based in the United Arab Emirates under ADGM (Abu Dhabi Global Market).
  
  

The Head of Venture will oversee an established portfolio of nine companies (with six LOI projects pending deployment), boasting exceptional performance metrics, including a triple-digit IRR of 330% and a TVPI exceeding 13.8 (up more than 1380%). This role involves leading a diverse team with a strong presence across the GCC and SEA regions, with plans for continued expansion.

• Requirements**
• Must-Have:**
• 5+ years of venture capital experience;
• Fluency in English (both verbal and written);
• Strong analytical abilities, with a background in traditional finance (e.g., hedge funds, investment banking, venture capital, private equity) and/or venture capital;
• Significant experience in capital raising;
• Proven leadership experience managing a team or in an operational role;
• A well-established network for generating deal flow and strategic opportunities, with demonstrated skill in identifying high-potential investments;
• Expertise in protocols (e.g., business development, engineering, ecosystem understanding);
• Sales skills with a proven ability to close deals, along with a natural flair for networking;
• Strong understanding of portfolio management;
• Excellent negotiation abilities and the capability to meet tight deadlines;
• Proficiency in Excel, Google Sheets, and Mac systems.
• Nice-to-Have:**
• M&A or trading experience (a bonus but not required);
• A financial designation or license is an advantage but not necessary.
• Role & Responsibilities:**
• Lead a global team of venture associates, implementing the fund manager’s strategy while adhering to the investment thesis and serving on the investment committee;
• Support capital deployment efforts through deal sourcing, due diligence, and the execution of high-quality transactions;
• Oversee a healthy deal flow, monitor investment exposure, manage liquid and illiquid assets, and continuously rebalance the portfolio as needed;
• Contribute to DeFi and liquidity operations, working closely with the quantitative trading team;
• Conduct in-depth market research, trend analysis, financial modeling, valuation assessments, and due diligence, while supporting portfolio projects;
• Prepare and manage regular reports and briefs (e.g., investment notes, quarterly and monthly reports);
• Collaborate closely with the fund manager to ensure team cohesion, efficient use of capital, and expansion of the company's reach;
• Enhance the fund’s visibility by conducting interviews, building relationships with other funds, attending or speaking at conferences, and participating in public forums;
• Present the fund to prospective LPs and assist with the closing process;
• Work with the finance team to ensure compliance with regulations and adherence to internal policies;
• Utilize company systems and repositories to maintain secure and accurate records.
