Responsibilities

  • Design and enhance enterprise-level security architecture aligned with ISO 27001 and other industry frameworks.
  • Integrate security controls and defense-in-depth strategies into IT solutions, platforms, and services.
  • Participate in architecture reviews and risk assessments to ensure compliance with GOS policies, standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide expert security advisory for cloud, endpoint, network, and application integrations.
  • Identify vulnerabilities and propose effective risk mitigation strategies.
  • Support governance, risk management, and compliance (GRC) initiatives.
  • Evaluate emerging threats, technologies, and security best practices.
  • Collaborate with solution architects, vendors, and internal stakeholders to define and enforce security requirements.
  • Document security architectures and maintain a current understanding of the evolving threat landscape.
  • Promote secure data classification and access control measures across the enterprise.

Mandatory Qualifications

  • Minimum 7+ years of experience as a Security Architect or equivalent senior security role.
  • Strong knowledge of ISO/IEC 27001, NIST, and security frameworks.
  • Proven experience implementing security controls in large, complex environments.
  • Hands-on experience with vulnerability remediation, cloud security (AWS, Azure), and secure system integration.
  • Expertise in conducting Threat Risk Assessments (TRAs).
  • Familiarity with enterprise architecture methodologies (e.g., TOGAF).

Preferred Certifications (Assets)

  • CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional)
  • CISM (Certified Information Security Manager)
  • CCSP (Certified Cloud Security Professional)
  • TOGAF (The Open Group Architecture Framework)
  • GIAC (Global Information Assurance Certification)

Soft Skills

  • Strong verbal and written communication with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Self-motivated and accountable with excellent organizational skills.
  • Collaborative and consultative approach with a proactive mindset.
