C++ Software Engineer– Trading Systems Infrastructure

Our client is a leading global investment firm that utilizes advanced quantitative strategies and cutting-edge technology to trade across global financial markets. They are currently expanding their world-class technology team and are seeking a C++ Software Engineer to contribute across several key areas, including Market Data Infrastructure, Order Gateway Systems, and Trading Risk Technology.

Role Overview:

This is a unique opportunity for a skilled C++ developer with experience in building high-performance, low-latency systems. The role involves designing and optimizing the core infrastructure that connects the firm to global exchanges, processes large volumes of trading data, and supports execution and risk decisions in real-time. You’ll work in close collaboration with quantitative researchers, infrastructure teams, and other developers across the globe.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build and enhance core trading infrastructure including order routing gateways, market data feeds, and real-time risk systems.
• Contribute to the design and delivery of scalable, efficient, and fault-tolerant solutions.
• Partner closely with business and technology stakeholders to translate requirements into robust, production-ready code.
• Own the full software development lifecycle—from architecture through deployment and support.
• Continuously improve performance, reliability, and monitoring of live trading systems.
• Participate in code reviews, mentor junior team members (where relevant), and help shape best practices.

What We’re Looking For:

• 4–6+ years of hands-on C++ development experience on Linux-based systems.
• Deep knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and network programming.
• A collaborative, solutions-oriented mindset with excellent communication skills.
• Background in building Market Data or Order Execution systems.
• Financial markets exposure—Equities, Derivatives, or similar asset classes.
• Prior work on performance optimization and low-latency architecture.
• Experience mentoring or managing technical teams is a plus but not required.
