Job Title: Sr. DevOps Engineer

Location: Ann Arbor, Michigan (Hybrid)

Job Type: 6+ Months Contract

Pay Range: $65-70/hr

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced DevOps engineer to be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the infrastructure and processes utilized to rapidly deploy customer facing solutions. The ideal candidate will be familiar with CI/CD automation, containerization, and cloud infrastructure (AWS). This role will require self-directed problem solving and effectively communicating solutions. Automotive and/or embedded software experience will be valued.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Implement automated build and testing procedures using GitHub CI/CD.
• Develop release and packaging procedures to enable high confidence, tracible, and reliable builds.
• Integrate with project management software (JIRA) to improve the quality of project data.
• Participate in Agile Scrum development, using Systems Engineering principles.
• Build strong partnerships with Arene teams and adapt to changes as the platform evolves
• Use, evaluate, and give feedback on tools and platforms built by Arene teams
• Train and work closely with customers to deliver next-generation vehicle applications for production vehicles.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• At least 3-5 years experience in DevOps engineering
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with effective management of priorities and deadlines.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• 5+ years in automotive
• Understanding of typical ECU hardware architecture and familiarity with standard vehicle architecture.
• Proficiency in CI/CD practices for automotive testing environments.
• Ability to interact with C/C++, Python, and Golang-based projects.
• Experience with automotive build systems, communication protocols (CAN, Ethernet, LIN, Flexray), development using safety standards like ISO26262.
• Experience with Bazel, CMake or similar build systems, git-repo or similar tooling for multi-repo management.
• Experience creating software integration builds in multi-repo, multi-language environments.
