We are working with a next-generation AI-native cloud finance optimization platform that empowers businesses to control and reduce cloud costs through automation, intelligent insights, and machine learning. Their LLM-powered tools drive real-time visibility, cost-saving recommendations, and automated FinOps workflows.

The Role:

As the Founding ML Engineer, you will take the lead on building and optimizing cutting-edge ML systems—including foundational and fine-tuned LLMs—for financial modeling, anomaly detection, cost forecasting, and intelligent chat agents. You’ll work closely with backend engineers and leadership in a high-impact, product-focused environment.

Key responsibilities include:

• Develop and deploy LLM-based applications for both internal tools and customer-facing products.
• Lead end-to-end ML systems for cloud cost forecasting, anomaly detection, and financial risk modeling.
• Contribute to and leverage foundational OSS LLM frameworks (e.g., Hugging Face, LangChain, LoRA).
• Architect scalable data infrastructure to support AI/ML workflows and real-time insights.
• Maintain cloud-based ML infrastructure using AWS, Terraform, and modern MLOps best practices.

Requirements:

• Deep experience with LLMs (pretraining, fine-tuning, optimization, prompt engineering).
• Major contributor to open-source projects in the LLM or ML ecosystem.
• Strong Python skills and familiarity with ML/AI libraries such as PyTorch, Transformers, and LangChain.
• Strong foundation in software engineering and data infrastructure.
• Experience building and deploying ML products at scale (not just R&D or notebooks).
• Proficiency with AWS, Terraform, SQL, and related tools.
• Background in Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, or a related technical field.
• Comfortable in a fast-paced, high-growth, founder-led environment.

The Benefits:

Base salary of $275,000 - $325,000 plus equity, 401k, health, dental, and vision benefits.
